Ebony is a descriptive term that can refer to one or more varieties of dense, dark or black hardwoods. Here, you'll find a mix of medium chestnut brown with black banding, referred to as tiger ebony. Characteristically, ebony woods have a fine, tight wood grain, that takes a very nice polish. The beads are smooth and have a soft sheen when rolled around in the light. Wood beads look great with a wide variety of metals and will bring a warm, organic touch to your jewelry. Try pairing them with semiprecious stones, shell, bone, and other natural materials. Come on, let's make something beautiful!
Note: The color of ebony wood can vary. Some strands may be lighter with more banding while others may be darker with less banding.
